Valentine Decor

Valentine Decorations

Moving on from Christmas, I've been thinking about making some Valentine decorations. I made the large red fabric wreath from these instructions yesterday and made these two little beaded hearts this morning. I think I want to make a whole bunch more of the beaded hearts and hang them all over the place. They are super easy as I just cut some wire, curl one edge and then string on some beads. Then curl the other edge and twist the two together and shape into a heart.

They are a little bit girly and I like that. I need a little bit of girly in my life every now and then!

I love them! I have nothing for Valentine's Day up at the moment! I've been sick and Ashlyn is not sleeping...I hope you are doing great! I'm glad I can see a little of what you're up to! I love crafty things! I have been sewing lately.

Jessica,

Hey this is Cassity from Remodelaholic, and you asked about painting those bookshelves... So far, I haven't had any problems. I used Olympic paint, from Lowes, because it is VOC free and low cost. I am not sure how it will hold up... We shall see.

Sanding is a must! And technically the laminate portion of the bookcase is painted pretty minimally. I only did the outside and upper two shelves. The face frame and doors will have no problem holding their paint, because of the different material.

So, if you try it, good Luck!
